In Loving Memory of Martha Hannah McDaniel Ball

We mournfully announce the passing of Martha Hannah McDaniel Ball, who departed this world at the age of 93. A lifelong resident of Rome, Georgia, Martha Hannah passed away peacefully, having been called to her eternal rest with the Lord. Born to the late Dan and Martha Naomi McDaniel, her life was a testimony to the virtues of unwavering commitment to family and a laudable work ethic.
Martha Hannah was the cherished matriarch of a large, loving family. She leaves behind her devoted son, James E. Ball (Donna); her loving daughters, Kathy Diane Bennett (Michael), Teresa Marie Hess (Mark), and Debra Elaine Blanks (Rodney); and her adored grandchildren, Michael Bennett, Amber Ball Baker, Garrett Bennett, Steven Wilson, Kimberly Wilson, Dereck Wilson, Rachel Hess, Caleb Hess, and Joshua Hess. Her enduring legacy continues through her brothers, Walter McDaniel and Charles McDaniel, and her sister, Charlene Davis. Together, they stand united in their sorrow and cherish the memory of a life well-lived.
Martha Hannah’s journey was preceded in parting by her parents, her ex-husband, John M. Ball, Jr., her eldest son, John M. Ball, Jr., her granddaughter Jaime Desiree Ball, and her sisters, Caroline Goe, Louise Black, Joyce McDaniel, and Emily Hayes. Her story is one of enduring strength and grace.
Martha Hannah’s professional life was characterized by dedication to her role as a dietitian’s aide at Floyd Hospital, from which she retired after years of committed service. As in her personal life, her career was marked by an unyielding dedication to nurturing and helping others. Family, coworkers and friends were all touched by Martha Hanna’s generosity and love.
A steadfast member of the Baptist faith, Martha Hannah lived a life deeply rooted in faith, demonstrating through her actions the depth of her belief and the strength of her spirit. Her faith guided her through life’s challenges and triumphs, always serving as a beacon of hope and resilience.
Final respects will be paid to Martha Hannah at Parnick Jennings Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 24 with a Visitation at 1:00 PM till the Funeral hour at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery. Reverend Tony Black will be officiating.
Martha Hannah’s enduring impact and benevolent spirit will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who knew her, ensuring her memory is eternally cherished and her legacy celebrated by generations to come.
