With heartfelt grief, we announce the passing of Francis Michael “Mike” Prevatt, a beloved family man, avid fisherman, and friend to many. Mike's earthly journey ended with his leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and the warmth of cherished memories shared with those he loved.

Mike was predeceased by his dear parents, Estelle and Raymond Prevatt; his brother, Raymond Wayne Prevatt; his sister, Sheila Baldwin; and his grandfather, Burl Washington Phillips, all of whom have left unforgettable marks on his heart and shaped the man he became.

He leaves behind a loving family who were the cornerstone of his existence: his grandchildren, Raymond and Estelle Prevatt, who were the light of his life; his brothers, Jimmy Prevatt Sr., Robert Swinford, and Wayne Prevatt; his sisters, Kimberly (David) Sayers, Sherry Barnes, and Susan (Wayne) Reynolds. Each family member reflected a part of Mike’s spirit, his kindness, and his unending capacity to love.

Mike's life was an affirmation of the joy found in simple pleasures. He was most at peace with a fishing rod in hand, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature. His love for fishing was only paralleled by his dedication to helping others and spending quality time with his family. Mike's presence was a comforting constant, a source of strength and happiness.

More than anything, Mike was known for his kind heart. His willingness to extend a helping hand, offer a listening ear, and share a moment of laughter was a gift to all. Mike’s legacy is not just in the moments spent fishing or the times he helped a friend in need, but in the love he shared freely and unconditionally.

As we bid farewell to Mike, let us find comfort in our memories, the stories of love and kindness that define his life. Let us carry forward his legacy by embracing the values he lived by: kindness, generosity, and the enduring power of family.
